Fire Safety

Shiluvit wood ceilings meet the highest standard required for fire safety in Europe and Israel for wood ceilings.
There are 2 EU standards applicable for
wood ceilings.
1. EN 13964:2004
    Suspended ceilings – requirements and
    test methods.
2. EN 13501
The Euroclass test for fire safety.

Shiluvit ceilings are CE certified for both standards.
Our classification is B-s2,d0.
The certificate was issued by SKH laboratories,  the Netherlands.
Oranit is authorized to mark Shiluvit wood ceiling with the CE labels!
Oranit is also certified by the Israeli standard institution to supply fire retardant wood ceilings as per standard IS 2733.

The high class fire rate is achieved by the 3 phase treatment that we use. The wood profiles are treated in an autoclave with special fire retardant materials. The process has 3 phases: vacuum, pressure, vacuum, in this way the material is penetrating the wood and gives it the properties needed for fire safety.

The fire retardant material is transparent and is environmental friendly.
